The film is produced by Ruchi Narain under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures and it was written by Rajat Arora.The story of Kuch Loo Jaa revolves around three friends who are too ambitious about their career but lack any experience towards making them successful. The friends feel that they can make it big if they start their own business. The three friends are all strong-willed and ambitious. Kuch Loo Jaa revolves around three friends Lucknow Singh (John Abraham), Paresh Rawal (Sanya Malhotra) and Arun Chaudhary (Manoj Pahwa) who are all married with kids. While Lucknow is a business tycoon, Paresh is success but has lost his career after an accident with his company, while Arun is an aspiring politician who has somehow become successful with his family's help. The three friends are financially sound but lack the experience of handling the business. They don't know how to go about it. The trio decide to go for an MBA course to gain experience in running a business, where they meet Tanu (Sanya Malhotra). Tanu is already into her third year of MBA and is an emotional wreck who has lost her mom at a young age and she has just lost her dad too. She has put all her energy into fulfilling his dreams. She wants to complete the MBA so that she can leave for Australia for higher studies.Tanu gets close to the three men due to their similarities in life, which includes losing their parents at a young age. The three men like Tanu but can't express it. Fearing that Tanu will leave the country, the three friends ask her to join them in running their business. Tanu thinks that she's joining them for her own benefit not knowing that they are doing it thinking of her. Tanu shares her experience with the three men during MBA and they manage to run the business successfully. Meanwhile, Arun gets framed by his political rivals and is told by his uncle (Sanjay Mishra) to withdraw from the elections or else he will be exposed. He is given a tape recorder to prove his innocence which was planted by his rivals in the room he was in. Arun takes the tape recorder but instead of using it, he destroys it in front of his uncle. He is then exposed in front of media and is forced to give up on politics. He regrets not using the tape recorder against his enemies when they were telling him to withdraw from elections or else he will be exposed in front of media. Lucknow's life gets turned upside down when his secretary leaves without giving her salary to him, which she had saved for Lucknow's daughter's education fund.
